Today on April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse is going to happen in the world and since this eclipse is happening after 54 years, NASA astronomers saying it a special and rare solar eclipse. During this solar eclipse, Mexico, the United States and Canada will be as dark as night during the day. Before this, exactly 54 years ago, such a solar eclipse occurred in 1970, and after 54 years, there is a possibility of such a solar eclipse in 2078.//
As soon as the moon covers the sun, darkness of the night falls during the day and the temperature of the surrounding environment decreases. How much the temperature will drop depends on the position of the sun, the season of the year and the type of eclipse.
Most times, the temperature drops by 5 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit or 2.8 to 6 degrees Celsius during a total solar eclipse.Sometimes it can decrease even more.
As the temperature drops, the wind direction can suddenly change in the regions where the eclipse occurs . //
Animals and insects also start behaving strangely during a solar eclipse. The bees will stop buzzing because they thinks night has come. The birds will start to return to their nests. Insects will start chirping to return to their home.
Some domestic animals like cows, goats, pigeons will start behaving abnormally.Their behavior may be confusing.
Wild animals of the forest those come out in search of prey at night can start preparing for the hunt. //
The effect of solar eclipse can also be observed on plants. Plants reduce the rate of photosynthesis and the release of water into the atmosphere.
Microorganisms can also become more sensitive during solar eclipses. This was proved during the total solar eclipse in India in 2011.
Certain radio wave frequencies may be disrupted during total solar eclipses. But scientists still are not sure why this happens.//
In fact, when darkness cover the day during a total solar eclipse, it certainly changes the behavior of all living things, whether in water or on land, and even human beings normal movements are disrupted.
